Mobile devices such as Smartphone and Tablet have made our lives easier and more fun. They are so popular that become our necessities. Grown-ups like us, cannot resist their powers let alone kids who have been surrounded by the high-tech devices since birth?
A study, about the amount of time US kids spent with the media, revealed that 50% of kids under 8 have access to mobile devices. Of which, 10% spend an average of 43 minutes on the devices daily. But don’t miss the traditional device, television, which is still the most popular choice. Toddlers spend twice more time on watching television and DVDs than being read to.
A pediatrician authority advised that children under 2 shouldn’t spend times in front of the screens. But with the development of more innovative devices, it will be hard to prevent children accessing the new technology at their early stages. We are curious……Will one day the abilities to recognize a home button and adjust picture sizes with fingers be the new child development milestones?

Google released new data about the search volume by device throughout the day. Desktop usage is high during the work day. And mobile devices are used throughout the day but especially high in the evening. The most interesting finding would be the tablet usage which is limited during the day but dramatically increased in the evenings which people may be using tablets while watching TV.
The data shows that even people nowadays have many devices on their own; the usage patterns of each device are not the same. Advertisements that specifically target different device users need to be planned with attentions in order to get the most effective responses.
