Interesting figures on email and social media marketing 0
Global E-mail Attitudes Survey finds that out of 13,000 consumers in 13 countries across the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific, 58% have been driven to make a purchase in a store or over the phone by a marketing email. The study also finds out that many people are willing to subscribe to email messages offline, for example when placing a catalog order (46%), at the point-of-sale (29%), or via SMS text message (13%).
Like many other speculations in the market, the research also shed light on the kinds of influences over consumers’ purchase decisions. Two-thirds of consumers being interviewed indicated that e-mail inspired purchases have prompted them to further research a brand and its products while more than half say it is spurred by peer recommendation. Interestingly enough, roughly half of consumers revealed that they are willing to act as brand advocates in order to connect email content, such as special offers and promotions, to social networks. Asia Pacific with a number exceeds the global norm also ranks the top in this kind of activity.
