Bloggers, not simply just Nerds and “Otaku”! 0

In Hong Kong, as blogging grows, we can expect more people to wonder … Can I do this? Am I cut out to be a good local blogger? While we don’t think there’s a formula or recipe for local blogging success, metapeople thinks there are some personality traits that will make you more likely to succeed then others.

Metapeople attended the third Punch Party Hong Kong event last Friday October 30th, with the theme of “Vacation Mode”. The 7 speakers, also well known-local bloggers, share their views in life and their definition in Travelling. With wonderful harbour night view of Hong Kong.

So what is Punch Party Hong Kong? Punch Party was first launch in Taiwan by Digital Culture Association for the entire local tech-bloggers meeting. It was introduced to Hong Kong on February 20, 2009 without a specific category as Taiwan, but it set a theme for bloggers to share their mindset. Each blogger would have 7 minutes for their presentation.

In general speaking, as a blogger, it is necessary to connect with people to grow your own blog. This is true whether you’re a local blogger or not. Blogging is a conversation, and if you’re not the type to want to connect with others, you’ll probably find it much harder to succeed. Outgoing people are typically more interested in what others believe, and that curiosity will be very helpful as you grow your own blog.
